I am delighted to be continuing the
Neighbourhood Policing work developed by Chief Inspector Paul
Wilson and the team.
It has provided an exciting opportunity to embed community
safety and partnership working into the success of our
Neighbourhood Policing frame work.
This approach will ensure that Neighbourhood Policing is no
longer viewed as a project but as an integral part of our day to
day policing business.
Changes to Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership's into
Community Safety Partnerships will enable us to form much stronger
links with partners across London to reduce crime and increase
public confidence
I am proud to be associated with the good work that is being
done and am committed to ensuring that our policing activity ranks
amongst the top ten policing command units in the country.
I look forward to working with you on this challenge.
My Area has 23 Neighbourhood Policing Teams
covering both the London Underground and Docklands Light Railway
network. These teams are at the forefront of operational policing.
They provide a highly visible policing presence on the tube and DLR
networks and are seeking to actively engage our industry partners,
the travelling public and the wider railway community in tackling
problems on the system. Together, we can ensure a railway network
that is not only safe, but feels safe to all who use it.
