As a result of requests
from staff and passengers, officers have changed their shift
patterns: officers now work until 1:30am on Thursdays to
Saturdays in order to provide reassurance to the public and deal
with Anti Social Behaviour offences
-
On average, officers
conduct over 200 station and train patrols each month to combat
offences.
-
Duties will also
consist of officers deployed in plain clothes patrols to
detect offenders.
Results
- Through out March 2012 there has been 4 Anti
Social Behaviour offences.
- 7 Joint operations with the revenue were conducted
in March 2012 to provide high visibility patrolling and public
reassurance as well as combating Anti Social Behaviour.
|
|
2. Begging at Lewisham Station
|
Actions
- There has been an increase in reports of people loitering and
begging at the station entrance. A Problem Solving Plan has been
put in place for this by the team.
- The team will conduct uniformed and plain clothes patrols.
Results
- Through out March 2012 the team have conducted
daily uniformed and plain clothes patrols in order to identify
the offenders.
- Through out March 2012 offences have dropped with
only one male being reported for the offence.
|
|
3. Fare Evasion
|
Actions /
Results
-
Joint operations continue to
be conducted with revenue officers at least once a
week to combat this offence.
-
Since the beginning of January 2012 we
have conducted 19 joint operations with revenue officers
and Metropolitan Police.
-
In 2012 so far officers have
made 68 arrests and cautions for fare
