Op. Damson is an Anti-Cycle Theft, Anti-Social
Behaviour and Theft of Passenger Property operation, carried
out to reduce the incidence at St. Pancras International.
This is a joint operation involving NCP staff and Met.
Police.
Regular deployments of crime reduction stands at key locations
staffed by officers are on hand to give crime prevention advice and
property marking. Pro-Active engagement with passengers pointing
out vulernable property to reduce opportunist crimes. Intelligence
submitted on persons acting suspiciously. High visibilty patrols of
locations during times highlighted by crime analysis has being
peak-times for these types of offences.
Crime reduction advice - Our specialist crime reduction officer,
Tim Ramskill, conducted a site visit on Tuesday 19th July with Mr
Derek Humphries (NCP Manager) and various recommendations have been
made and NCP are actively seeking to implement them.
Wednesday 7th September, Op. Dawson
was carried out on Wednesday 7th
September between 1700 - 2200.
Results: The bike racks were checked
regularly and no thefts or arrests made during this operation.
Friday 29th July, Op. Damson (6) was an
Anti-Cycle Theft, Anti-Social Behaviour and Theft of Passenger
Property operation, carried out at St. Pancras International. This
was a joint operation involving NCP staff and Met. Police.
Results: 28 bike tags, cycle theft leaflets
and travel safe advice given to cyclist in the NCP car
park.
Friday 8th July, Op. Damson (5) was an
Anti-Cycle Theft, Anti-Social Behaviour and Theft of Passenger
Property operation, carried out at St. Pancras International. This
was a joint operation involving NCP staff and Met. Police.
Results: 6 stop and engagements, 1 Sec. 1
search, 2 intelligence reports submitted and 1 arrest made.
Wednesday 29th June, Op. Damson (4) was an
Anti-Cycle Theft, Anti-Social Behaviour and Theft of Passenger
Property operation, carried out at St. Pancras International. This
was a joint operation involving NCP staff and Met. Police.
Results: 3 stop and engagements carried out and no
arrests.
Monday 21st March, Op. Damson (2) is a
Cycle-Theft joint-operation involving both St. Pancras NPT and Met.
Police SNT officers was run between 1800 - 2200 hrs at St. Pancras
International. Officers liaised with NCP staff and conducted
hi-vis patrols. Also immobi tags were fitted to bikes and
crime reduction advice was given out. Results
(21/03): 13 stop and engagements carried out, 1
intelligence report submitted and no arrests.
