Current Neighbourhood Policing priorities as agreed by the Liverpool Street Station community at our PACT Meetings on 17 February 2012

1.  Antisocial Behaviour in Public Toilets

Police Actions

This PSP was raised at our PACT Meeting on 17 February 2012 as part of a joint working initiative with Network Rail and Greater Anglia.

As part of this PSP we are doing the following:

  • The Liverpool Street NPT is working in partnership with Network Rail and the City of London Police to proactively patrol in and around the toilets at key times. The aim of these patrols is to provide an increased visible deterrent.

  • We are conducting a number of plain clothed operations to tackle this policing issue. We are not able to provide dates and times for ongoing operations as this would affect operational effectiveness.

Latest Update 29/03/2012

This PSP was opened at the PACT Meeting on 17 February 2012 and will be reviewed at the next PACT Meeting on 19 April 2012.

Increased police and Network Rail patrols are now in place in and around the public toilets which aims to deter anti social behaviour.

Since we started this PSP we have had no recorded crimes in relation to this offence type in the public toilets.

2. Integration of "Making Travel Safer" Officer’s Patrolling Barrier Lines with NPT Officer's

Police Actions

  • We are conducting a number of high visibility operations to tackle this policing issue. We are not able to provide dates and times for ongoing operations as this would affect operational effectiveness.

Latest Update 29/03/2012

This PSP was opened at the PACT Meeting on 17 February 2012 and will be reviewed at the next PACT Meeting on 19 April 2012.

We now have daily joint briefings with the Making Travel Safer Officers to ensure they are aware of any policing issues which may concern then.

Our patrol stategies have been ammended to provide additional patrols at peak time on the barrier lines - the aim being to provide reassurance to the Making Travel Safer Officers and to reduce the possibility of staff assaults.
