The Freedom of Information Act requires British Transport Police
to adopt and maintain a publication scheme which sets out the
information we intend to publish as a matter of routine. The
purpose of a publication scheme is to ensure a significant
amount of information is available, without the need to make
specific general access requests. BTP's publication scheme
covers the following information:
Who we are and what we do
What we spend and how we spend it
What our priorities are and how we are
doing
How we make decisions
Polices and procedures
Links and registers
Services provided by the police force
Our publication scheme is based on the model agreed between the
information commissioner and the Association of Chief Police
Officers (ACPO) and we publish the information we
believe meets the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act and is of interest to the public.
