“I chose to work with British Transport Police because I enjoy engaging with members of the public and get to deal with a variety of incidents and people on the rail network on a daily basis.

“If I wasn’t a PCSO, I’d still like to work in policing, in a role such as a Scene of Crime Officer which I find really interesting.

“Although policing is traditionally a male dominated profession, I think the fact I am career driven and have respect for myself and others makes me stronger and more confident in carrying out my duties.

“It’s not all work though! In my spare time I like to travel, read, cook and keep fit.

“International Women’s Day is a special day to celebrate a woman’s role in today’s society regardless of colour , race, religion and profession all over the world.

“I would encourage women to get into policing since there is plenty of room for career development and progression for women from all different backgrounds and walks of life”.
