Independent Advisory Network

London’s Independent Advisory Network (IAN) was set up in 2004. The IAN provides operational and tactical advice during critical incidents, or incidents which are likely to have a significant impact within the communities we interact with, and has dedicated members aligned to each Area within London.

The National Independent Advisory Group feeds into IAN where London impact is paramount.

Officers include members of the IAN in planning stages of operations and initiatives where community involvement is high to make sure the needs of the communities we serve are met.
